写真家。生物学や自然環境について学んだ経験を背景に、実験的なアプローチによる写真作品や映像作品を発表している。特に近年、現代における写真技術を「センシング」という観点から捉え、拡張した写真表現の可能性を探究している。文化庁新進芸術家海外研修制度により2014年から2年間ロンドンに滞在し、その後2017年までアムステルダムを拠点に活動。2018年より、現代の写真・映像表現によって都市と社会を考察する「TOKYO PHOTOGRAPHIC RESEARCH PROJECT」を主宰し、アートプロジェクトや展覧会、フィールドリサーチ、コミッションワーク、コラボレーション、国内外の美術大学との共同プログラムなど、多様な活動を展開している。

photographer. Based on his experience of studying biology and the natural environment, he presents photographic and video works with an experimental approach. logy from the perspective of “sensing.” He spent two years in London from 2014 under the Overseas Study Program for Upcoming Artists of the Agency for Cultural Affairs, and was based in Amsterdam until 2017. Since 2018, he has presided over the “TOKYO PHOTOGRAPHIC RESEARCH PROJECT”, which considers cities and society through contemporary photography and video expressions, and has been engaged in various activities such as art projects, exhibitions, field research, commission work, collaboration, and joint programs with art universities in Japan and overseas.
